Baltimore County police say two men who they believe robbed the Alpha Gold Exchange in Cockeysville early Thursday afternoon are in police custody.
Luis Noel Rodriguez, 28, of New York, N.Y.. and Vincent Henry Courts Jr., 28, of Harrisburg, Pa.., have been charged with armed robbery, first degree assault, and use of a handgun in a felony crime in connection with the armed robbery at Alpha Gold Exchange on Thursday, April 5.
According to a police department release, officers were dispatched to the Alpha Gold Exchange, located in the 10800 block of York Road, after reports of an armed robbery.
Two men, one of whom had a handgun, confronted employees and stole money and jewelry from the store, police said.
The men fled in a Toyota Camry, but crashed the vehicle on McCormick Road and ultimately fled on foot.
One man was arrested in the parking lot of the Cockeysville police precinct, while police used a Taser to subdue and arrest the second man in a parking lot of McCormick Road.
The police aviation unit, K-9 unit, patrol officers and detectives responded to the area.
Both men are in custody, and police said they are currently being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on $300,000 bail.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
