( Submitted photo / July 12, 2011 ) Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling, seated, visits The Children's Bookstore in Roland Park in 1999, after the release of the third book in the series, "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban." Standing behind Rowling, left to right, are Donna Basik, Carl Cunningham and Kate Manger. Basik was a store employee at the time. Manger's mother, Suzie still works there, and Cunningham's mother, Lisa Cody, is the manager. The photographer is unknown. The bookstore was an early champion of Rowling and the Harry Potter books. |
