Baltimore County police were called to the 1300 block of Monkton Road in Monkton at 9:31 a.m. Oct. 26 with a report of a burglary in progress, a police spokeswoman said Friday.
The homeowners called 911 and reported that a person they knew was trying to steal a motorcycle, police spokeswoman Cpl. Cathy Batton said. The homeowners told police they saw the man run into woods behind the house.
Batton said police from the Cockeysville precinct and the K-9 unit, and a police helicopter were dispatched to find the man.
The man was later located in the woods and was taken into custody and charges are pending, Batton said.
