The Candle Light Inn in Catonsville is one of 36 Baltimore County restaurants scheduled to participate in Baltimore County Summer Restaurant Week, Aug. 10-19.
The restaurant, with a history of satisfying hungry patrons for nearly 100 years, will join the restaurants in Towson, Owings Mills, Pikesville, Cockeysville,Lutherville, Timonium, Parkville, Perry Hall, Monkton and Essex in offering one- to three-course lunch and dinner specials ranging from $10.12 to $35.12.
"They called us and asked us and we said, 'Yes.'," said Ashley Scheretz, a hostess at the restaurant at 1835 Frederick Road. "It brings a lot of people in."
The Candle Light Inn was among the Catonsville restaurants which took part in the most recent Taste of Catonsville promotion hosted by the Greater Catonsville Chamber of Commerce and was among the 40 county restaurants in the county's first Restaurant Week promotion in January, 2011.
The county's Office of Tourism and Promotion and the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce announced the event Thursday.
