Baltimore County police continue to seek information from the public about the murder of a 33-year-old woman whose body was found in a wooded area in Oella nearly three weeks ago.
A bicyclist on River Road discovered the body near the road's intersection with Frederick Road at 10:30 a.m. on June 10.
The body had no identification and detectives used fingerprinting to determine the woman was Janell Earlita Balogun, of the 2700 block of Rittenhouse Avenue in the Lakeland section of Baltimore.
Her body had no visible signs of trauma, but an autopsy by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner indicated Balogun was murdered.
A cause of death is not being released, said Cpl. Cathy Batton, a spokeswoman for the Baltimore County police on Friday.
Police had no further information as of 3:30 p.m. June 29 and asked anyone who may have observed any suspicious activity along Frederick Road in Oella the evening of June 9 or early morning of June 10 to call police at 410-307-2020 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-756-2587.
