A 68-year-old Baltimore resident was kidnapped by two men with handguns in Catonsville and forced to drive to two banks and withdraw money in the middle of the day Wednesday, according to Baltimore County police.
The two approached the 68-year-old about 11:30 a.m. in the Safeway gas station on the 5600 block of Baltimore National Pike, said Baltimore County police spokeswoman Cpl. Cathy Batton.
The 68-year-old agreed to give the men a ride but after he let them in his car one of the men produced a handgun, Batton said.
The men, both armed with handguns, forced the man to drive to two area banks.
Batton did not identify the banks because detectives are still attempting to gather evidence.
The men left the 68-year-old's care on foot when they arrived at the CVS Pharmacy at 5603 Baltimore National Pike in Catonsville, police said.
One of the men was described as black, 6-foot and 200 pounds, wearing a white hat, light plaid suit jacket and black dress pants.
The second man was described as black, 5-foot-6, wearing a khaki fedora, black suit, white shirt and a gray tie with black polka dots.
