The Greater Catonsville Chamber of Commerce hosts the 39th annual Catonsville Arts & Crafts Festival Sunday, Sept. 9, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Frederick Road. A wonderful day has been planned with live music on two stages; a KidZone; a farmers market; and more than 200 crafters, local businesses and civic organizations.

Again this year, members of the chamber will provide the festival food. Among the offerings are crab cakes and seafood from Catonsville Gourmet, funnel cakes and fries from Ships Cafe, gourmet pizza from Peace A Pizza, grilled cheese sandwiches from Grilled Cheese & Co., crab pretzels and smoothies from Cold Drink Systems, hamburgers and hot dogs hot off the grill from Taneytown Deli Express, fruit delights from Edible Arrangements, and Hershey's ice cream from You Scream Ice Cream.

Catonsville businesses are invited to the chamber's End of Summer Open House Wednesday, Sept. 26, 5-7 p.m., at the chamber office, 924 Frederick Road.
Nonmember businesses are welcome as free guests. (Member cost is $20.)
Join us for an opportunity to mingle and network, learn about the chamber and meet our members. Chamber members who bring a nonmember guest receive a complimentary gift.

Good for Business Breakfast Series
We will restart our Good for Business breakfast series after a summer break.
The Sept. 28 event will be at the Knights of Columbus, 1010 Frederick Road, at 7:30 a.m.
Topic will be "Starting, Purchasing and Running a Successful Franchise." If you have ever considered purchasing a franchise business and want advice from our successful member franchise owners on how they got started and what has helped make their business model a success, then be sure to join us. Owners from McDonald's, Edible Arrangements, 7-Eleven, Liberty Tax and Embroid Me will make up our panel of experts willing to share their experiences.
This breakfast meeting is open to the public and a great opportunity to find out about the Catonsville chamber.
