Catonsville Chamber of Commerce: Sample fare from 18 area eateries during 16th annual Taste of Catonsville event April 16

Catonsville has a wonderful array of restaurants, bakeries, caterers and eateries, enough to delight any pallet and satisfy any appetite.

Monday night, the chamber will highlight these establishments by hosting its annual Taste of Catonsville at Rolling Road Golf Club, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Among the newcomers in this year's 16th annual event April 16 are Regions, Caffe Di Roma, Nonni's Pies and Tarts and the Breadery. Don't miss this opportunity to sample the signature dishes from the 18 participants.

The event also kicks off the annual ReDiscover Catonsville Restaurants Week, April 17-23.

Good for business breakfast

The chamber hosts its third "Good for Business" breakfast meeting at 7:30 a.m. April 27 at the Knights of Columbus, 1010 Frederick Road.

This month's topic is marketing trends for small business.

A panel of experts will discuss the next generation of marketing tools, how to update and improve your website, email marketing, online videos, television and online TV advertising and applications for your smart phone.

Thanks to Edible Arrangements of Catonsville for sponsoring these educational breakfasts and providing the delicious fruit and pastry.

The event is open to the public. Cost is $10.

Sign of spring

The chamber launches a new event to celebrate spring with its Catonsville Flower Fest and Garden Party Sunday, May 6, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Egges Lane.

Stop by and enjoy the beautiful potted spring flowers and garden plants, displays from local master gardeners, gifts for Mother's Day, a spring bonnet contest, delicious food and music to round out our garden party theme.

That first Sunday in May is also the opening of our Sunday Farmers Market, so be sure to join us and enjoy the sights, smells and tastes of spring.

Outstanding teacher awards

The Greater Catonsville Chamber of Commerce will host its first "Outstanding Teacher Awards" event May 31 at 5:30 p.m. on the Catonsville campus of the Community College of Baltimore County Catonsville Campus.

Catonsville businesses and community member invited to join the chamber in recognizing excellence in the teachers, individuals and organizations that have had an outstanding impact on education in our community.
