Catonsville High School students Adam Antoszewski and Victori Monsaint-Queene have been named among the 16,000 semifinalists in the 58th annual National Merit Scholarship Program.

Their selection made Catonsville one of only seven Baltimore County public high schools with students chosen by the national program.

Approximately 1.5 million juniors in more than 22,000 high schools across the country entered the 2013 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2011 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

The nationwide pool of semifinalists represents less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors and includes the highest-scoring entrants in each state, according to a release from the program.
