The following students were named to the dean's list at Salisbury University for the spring 2011 semester:

Parkville residents Michael Buckless, Randi Burkhardt, Casey Dressel, John Fitzgerald, Abigail Gatch, Lauren Goff, Victoria Hook, Lindsay Thompson, Catherine Vane, Jessica Vogel, Kimberly Patterson and Danielle Poe; Nottingham residents Allison Bondarenko, Nicholas Disciullo, Melissa Gaskill, Katelyn Matuszak, Kelsey Matuszak, Rebecca McQuay and Amber Baines; and Rosedale residents Felicia Gorsuch, Jeffrey Kryglik, Angela Pabich and Timothy Skarda.

Artwork by four Baltimore County Public Schools students, including Katelyn Herold, of Perry Hall Middle School, is on display through December as part of the Global Views Exhibit in the Youth Art Gallery atBaltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.

Kevin Cobb from Nottingham, a rising 12th grader at Carver Center, won a bronze medal at the NAACP national Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics Competition, held in Los Angeles from July 22-24, 2011. He competed in the painting category. As a bronze medalist, Cobb received a laptop computer and a $2,000 award.
