Baltimore County police are investigating an early morning attempted robbery of a Speedy Mart in Lansdowne during which a clerk was shot.
Police said man with a handgun entered the Speedy Mart at 3815 Hollins Ferry Road sometime after 1:00 a.m. Monday and demanded money from the clerk.
When the clerk hesitated, he was shot two times, according to police.
Police said the man then fled without taking any money.
The clerk was taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center and has since been released, according to police.
