Among 72 calls for medical and fire-rescue service the Arbutus Volunteer Fore Department received Oct. 2-9 were the following:

Bloomsbury Avenue, 200 block, 10:01 p.m. Oct. 8. Crews from the Arbutus volunteer station and Catonsville career station responded to the report of a person experiencing chest pain in Catonsville. One seriously ill person taken to a local hospital.

3601 Washington Boulevard, Walmart, 11:39 a.m. Oct. 8. Crews from the Arbutus, English Consul, Lansdowne, Liberty Road, Owings Mills and Pikesville volunteer stations and Brooklandville, Catonsville, Eastview, Essex, Golden Ring, Halethorpe, Middle River, and Westview career stations responded to report of a hazardous material incident in Halethorpe. A total of 19 people were transported to area hospitals with varying degrees of injuries from a hazardous materials exposure.

Link Avenue, 5500 block, 11:56 a.m. Oct. 5. Crews from the Arbutus volunteer station and Westview career station responded to the report of a person suffering from an unknown illness or injury in Arbutus. One critically ill person taken to a local hospital.

South Hilton Street at Leeds Avenue, 11:33 a.m. Oct. 5. Crews responded to the report of a motor vehicle accident with injury in Baltimore and transported one person with non-life-threatening injuries to a local hospital.

Linden Avenue at Shelbourne Road, 7:00 a.m. Oct. 5. Crews responded to the report of a motor vehicle accident with injury in Arbutus and transported one person with non-life-threatening injuries to a local hospital.
