Among the 75 calls the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department received for medical and fire-rescue service during the period Sept. 16-23 were the following:
Alan Drive, 4400 block, 2:39 a.m. Sept. 22. Crews responded to the report of a person have trouble breathing in Arbutus. One seriously ill patient taken to a local hospital.
Knecht Avenue, 1400 block, 7:35 a.m. Sept. 21. Crews responded to the report of an injured person at Concentra Medical Center in Violetville and transported one seriously injured patient to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
5th Avenue, 600 block, 7:49 p.m. Sept. 18. Crews from the Lansdowne, Arbutus and English Consul volunteer stations and Halethorpe career station responded to report of a residential fire in Lansdowne, but found no fire.
Interstate-695 at Interstate-95, 2:52 p.m. Sept. 18. Crews from the Arbutus and Woodlawn volunteer stations and Catonsville and Halethorpe career stations responded to the report of a motor vehicle accident with people trapped at the Baltimore Beltway and I-95. Three people rescued from the vehicle. Nine people with non-life-threatening injuries taken to local hospitals.
Carmella Drive, 4800 block, 11:52 a.m. Sept. 16. Crews responded to the report of a person going into cardiac arrest in Arbutus. One critically ill person taken to a local hospital.
