Fire-Rescue Log: Arbutus volunteers among eight county fire departments responding to early morning fire at Western Tech

Among the 78 calls for medical, fire and rescue service the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department received during the period April 7-14 were the following:

100 Kenwood Avenue, 2:34 a.m. April 11. Crews from the Arbutus, English Consul and Lansdowne volunteer stations and Catonsville, Halethorpe, Randallstown, Westview and Woodlawn career stations responded to the report of a fire on the campus of the Western School of Technology and Environmental Science. A two-alarm fire was extinguished.

Linden Avenue, 1100 block, 9:56 p.m. April 10. Crews responded to the report of the activation of a carbon monoxide alarm in Arbutus and evacuated and ventilated a dwelling.

1000 Hilltop Circle, 2:05 p.m. April 10. Crews responded to the report of a person having a severe allergic reaction on the campus of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and transported a critically ill person to a local hospital.

Corporate Court, 3900 block, 10:04 p.m. April 7. Crews responded to the report of a building fire in Howard County and assisted Howard County units in extinguishing the fire.

Interstate 695 between exits 12 and 13, 5:58 p.m. April 7. Crews responded to the report of a rubbish fire along the Baltimore Beltway in the Catonsville area and extinguished the fire.
