Among the 61 calls the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department received for medical and fire-rescue service during the period February 23-March 2 were the following:

Frederick Road at Ingleside Avenue, 9:35 p.m. March 1. A motor vehicle accident with injury was reported. Crews from the Arbutus and English Consul volunteer stations and Catonsville and Woodlawn career stations responded to the report of a motor vehicle accident with possible injuries in Catonsville. Four people with non-life-threatening injuries taken to a local hospital.

North Rolling Road, 800 block, 1:31 p.m. March 2. Crews from the Arbutus volunteer station and Westview career station responded to the report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle at the H Mart in Catonsville. Two people with non-life-threatening injuries taken to a local hospital.

Linden Avenue, 1200 block, 9:19 p.m. March 1.Crews responded to the report of power lines arcing in Arbutus and found an outside burn pit but no hazards.

Benson Avenue at Old Sulphur Spring Road, 8:34 p.m. Feb. 27. Crews from the Arbutus and Violetville volunteer stations responded to the report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in Arbutus. One person with non-life-threatening injuries taken to a local hospital.

Mayfield Avenue, 1800 block, 9:04 p.m. Feb. 25. Crews from the Arbutus volunteer station and Halethorpe career station responded to the report of a residential fire in Halethorpe and found a mattress fire. Cause of the fire is believed to be a person falling asleep while smoking. The fire self-extinguished.
