Fire-Rescue: Volunteer and career departments respond to accident on I-95

Among the 74 calls for medical and fire-rescue service the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department received during the period Jan. 27 to Feb. 3 were the following:

Northbound Interstate-95 between exits 47 and 49, 11:39 a.m. Jan. 30. Crews from the Arbutus, Lansdowne and Violetville volunteer stations and Dundalk and Halethorpe career stations responded to the report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries on the highway. Two people with non-life-threatening injuries taken to a local hospital. 

Edmondson Avenue, 5700 block, 10:35 a.m. Jan. 30. Crews from the Arbutus volunteer station and Catonsville and Halethorpe career stations responded to the report of a person having trouble breathing in Catonsville. One seriously ill person taken to a local hospital.

Wilkens Avenue at Interstate 695, 7:55 a.m. Jan. 29. Crews responded to the report of a motor vehicle accident with possible injuries in Arbutus and cleaned up the hazards. No injuries were found.

Frederick Road, 1500 block, 1:46 p.m. Jan. 28. Crews responded to the report of a person having respiratory problems in Catonsville and transported one seriously ill person to a local hospital.

Sulphur Spring Road at Interstate 95, 1:31 a.m. Jan. 27.Crews responded to the report of a of a motor vehicle accident with possible injuries in Arbutus and controlled the hazards. One person with non-life-threatening injuries taken to a local hospital.
