Fire-Rescue Log: Arbutus volunteers respond to medical emergencies

Among the 51 calls for medical and fire-rescue service received by the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department during the period Jan. 13-20 were the following:

Leeds Avenue, 900 block, 2:58 p.m. Jan 18. Crews from the Arbutus volunteer station and Halethorpe career station responded to the report of a person having trouble breathing in Arbutus. One seriously ill person taken to a local hospital.

Altamont Avenue, 6400 block, 1:44 a.m. Jan. 17. Crews from the Arbutus volunteer station and Catonsville, Halethorpe, Westview and Woodlawn career stations responded to the report of a person experiencing heart problems in Catonsville. One critically ill person taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Wade Avenue, unit block, 11:12 p.m. Jan. 14. Crews from the Arbutus volunteer station and Halethorpe career station responded to the report of a person experiencing chest pain on the Spring Grove Hospital Center campus. One seriously ill person taken to a local hospital.

Francis Avenue, 1200 block, 2:12 p.m. Jan 13. Crews form the Arbutus volunteer station and Halethorpe career station responded to the report of a person having a seizure in Halethorpe. One seriously ill person taken to a local hospital.

Interstate 695 between exit 11 and exit 12, 4:34 a.m. Jan. 13. Crews from the Arbutus volunteer station and Catonsville, Halethorpe, Westview and Woodlawn career stations responded to the report of a motor vehicle accident with entrapment on the Baltimore Beltway in the Arbutus area. One seriously injured person rescued from the vehicle.
