Calwell Road, 900 block, 7:07 a.m., June 3. Police report man broke into residence of former girlfriend and assaulted her. Front door frame and lock destroyed. Police arrived and man fled. He was later arrested and charged with third-degree burglary, second-degree assault, destruction of property, resisting arrest and failure to obey a lawful order.

Benson Court, 1400 block, between 9:45 p.m., May 31 and 5 a.m., June 1. Eight batteries stolen from trucks parked in fenced lot at Georgetown Paper Stock.

Benson Avenue, 4800 block, between 8 p.m., May 31 and 3 a.m., June 1. Attempt to steal battery from delivery truck in a fenced lot at Black Tie Services failed.

Sulphur Spring Road, 2200 block, between 5:30 p.m., May 25 and 8:37 a.m., May 30. Battery and 360 feet of 1-inch copper wiring stolen from Eastern Lift Truck Company.
