The Maryland State Fair at the Timonium Fairgrounds opens Fri., Aug. 24 and runs through Mon., Sept. 3.
The 4-H/Home Arts, Farm and Garden, Exhibition and the Museum/DNR buildings are open Monday to Thursday, from noon to 10 p.m. On Friday ro Sunday, and Labor Day from hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The Midway rides, games and food stands are open Monday to Thursday from noon to 10 p.m. and Friday to Sunday, and Labor Day from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Livestock and horse shows start at 9 a.m. daily.
Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for seniors (62 and older), and $3 for children (6-11). Children 5 and younger are admitted free.
Rides are individually priced. There will be a Ridemania Preview Night, with rides, games and food stands open, on Thurs., Aug. 23, from 5 p.m. to close, for $16 for unlimited rides.
