Arbutus volunteers respond to Saturday afternoon fall on UMBC campus

Among the 74 calls for medical and fire-rescue service the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department received during the period Nov. 11-18 were the following:

1000 Hilltop Circle, 2:15 p.m. Nov. 17. Crews responded to the report of a person having fallen more than 30 feet on the campus of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and transported one critically injured person to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Dolores Avenue, 1:45 a.m. Nov. 17. Crews responded to the report of a person having chest pains in Arbutus and transported one seriously ill person to a local hospital.

Highview Avenue, 10:36 p.m. Nov. 13. Crews responded to the report of an electrical fire in Arbutus and extinguished a small electrical fire in the wall.

4800 block Leeds Avenue, 5:19 p.m. Nov. 13. Crews responded to the report of a motor vehicle accident in Arbutus. Two people with non-life-threatening injuries taken to a local hospital.

1300 block Poplar Avenue, 12:35 a.m. Nov. 13. Crews responded to the report of a person having fallen in Arbutus and transported one seriously injured person to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
