One of the most active clubs in the neighborhood, the Woman's Club of Perry Hall, recently hosted an art contest in a coordinated effort with the Perry Hall Middle School art chairperson Barbara Lambert and the art teachers of Perry Hall Middle.
Students from grades 6, 7 and 8 submitted their artistic masterpieces for the contest. The winners were selected as follows: 1st place – Lindsay Brooks, 8th grade; 2nd place – Alexa Eillond, 6th grade; 3rd place – Shannon Gaffney, 7th grade; and honorable mention – Coleen Michael, 8th grade.
Each of the talented winners received a certificate for their achievement. The 1st and 2nd place winning students advanced to the Greater Federation of Woman's Club Baltimore District level held at the Dundalk Library.
Please join with the Woman's Club of Perry Hall in sending community congratulations to these students on their success.
On behalf of the club, member Dawn Donovan commented, "The Woman's Club is very proud of our winners. There is so much talent in our Perry Hall schools."
Many thanks to the PH Woman's Club and the dedicated art teachers of Perry Hall Middle School for their ongoing encouragement that inspires Perry Hall children to excel.
