Greater Loch Raven: All-star night planned for Pleasant Plains Elementary

Pleasant Plains Elementary School students are seeing stars as the school prepares to host a "space night" on May 31.

During the event, students and their families will have the opportunity to perform hands-on experiments, visit the Baltimore County Starlab (a portable planetarium set up in the school's gym) and meet astronaut Don Thomas.

Jim O'Leary, director of the IMAX and Davis Planetarium at the Maryland Science Center, also will speak.

Plan now for activities to keep the kids busy this summer. Registration is open for children age 3 through the fifth grade for the daily vacation Bible school at Arnolia United Methodist Church, 1776 E Joppa Road.
