The Lurman Woodland Theatre Summer Concert Series begins its 2013 season Saturday, June 1, with the Catonsville High School Steel band continuing the longtime tradition of opening the three-month series of free concerts.
On Sunday, June 2, the Heart of Maryland Barbershop Chorus will perform a variety of a cappella harmonies. Founded in 1938, the chorus has performed in the Baltimore County area for more than 50 years.
The weekend shows begin at 6 p.m. in the natural amphitheater on the campus of Catonsville High School off Hilltop Road and Bloomsbury Avenue.
Fans should bring chairs or blankets. Bench seating is available on first-come, first-served basis.
Food and drinks available for purchase.
