Beck was nominated at the 50th annual Grammy awards, so maybe 2009 will be <b>Tim Fite’s</b> year. OK, highly unlikely, but Fite’s speak-sing phrasing is oddly appealing, and his sarcastic everyman approach is easy to appreciate.<br>

Meanwhile, the song builds with some acoustic strumming and a fluttering of ’60s pop effects. With facial expressions and stage antics for fit for a carnival act, Fite and his brother Greg are always hilariously entertaining. At SXSW, Fite was part Pee-Wee Herman and part Tom Waits, sporting orange pants and suspenders and some overly cartoonish facial expressions.<br>
