Halloween horror roundup

Why? One of the joys of having a film fest fall right on Halloween is that it gives programmers an excuse to offer movie buffs a horror movie marathon. This year's fest gives us genre icon Joe Dante returning to the big screen with his 3-D thriller "The Hole"; "Best Worst Movie," a documentary about the making of "Troll 2," widely considered one of the worst movies ever made; a midnight screening of "The Loved Ones," a blood-soaked Australian teen thriller; and "Wake in Fright," a film from 1971 about a young teacher's nightmarish journey into "drinking, gambling, hunting and more drinking" in the Australian Outback.
