Donna Svennevik / ABC
Erika Slezak, second from left, ("One Life to Live") has won the most Emmys for lead acting (6): 1984, 1986, 1992, 1995, 1996, 2005. Her victories in 1995 and 1996 were particularly noteworthy since her mentally troubled character possessed six personalities at the time, one of them a 10-year-old boy. Her role, Victoria Lord, has suffered many hardships since Slezak took over the part in 1971, including Dissociative Identity Disorder, which was blamed on her being sexually abused by her dad when she was a child. Viki's also been shot, widowed three times, divorced, had a stroke, breast cancer, a brain aneurysm and a heart transplant. And she believes she traveled through time.
