Nancy Lee Grahn, "General Hospital"
Nancy Lee Grahn is pre-nominated for outstanding lead actress, besting her on-screen daughter Kelly Monaco, who had more screentime and more storylines. In 2007, Grahn was mostly on the back-burner. As embattled attorney Alexis Davis, she fought her ex-husband (Ric Lansing, played by Emmy-winner Rick Hearst) for the district attorney position and was romanced by sociopath Jerry Jacks -- par for the course for Davis, whose previous lovers include mob boss Sonny Corinthos and Lansing, his half brother, who once held a woman hostage in a panic room.
If Grahn is nominated, it will be her fifth nomination for "General Hospital," her fourth as a lead actress. In 1989, Grahn was won best supporting actress for playing Julia Wainwright on "Another World," in an historic tie with Debbi Morgan ("All My Children"). She has played Alexis Davis since 1996.
