MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (AP)—Wesleyan University officials say a student was stabbed by a samurai sword during a student-produced play, but is expected to recover.
Wesleyan spokesman David Pesci says the sword was a prop that was used in Thursday night's performance at a building on the Middletown campus.
Pesci says the student was taken to Hartford Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. Officials didn't release the student's name.
No other details have been released.
