The Charles Village Pub, or "CVP," is a dimly-lit, seedy-in-a-good-way, old-school neighborhood pub. There's sports memorabilia on the wall, Hopkins grad students cracking books in the corner booth, tunes ranging from hip-hop to oldies, locals sipping longnecks at the bar, and hearty pub grub on the menu. You can choose from burgers, locally-named sandwiches, salads, pub specialties, desserts, and a standard selection of munchies. The CVP offers a wide selection of bottled and draft beers, including Bass, Killians, Anchorsteam, Guinness, and DeGroen's, among others. Happy hour is from 4-6:30 p.m., when drinks are 2-for-1, all beer is 50 cents off and munchies are half price. The CVP is located in the heart of Charles Village, with a selection of other eating and drinking establishments within a one-block radius to provide a great bar-hopping atmosphere. --Anna Kaplan
