Julia Louis-Dreyfus wins SAG Award for 'Veep'

More honors for 'Breaking Bad' and 'Modern Family'

Julia Louis-Dreyfus won a top SAG Award Saturday night for her work in Baltimore-made "Veep."

TV's all-time leader in comedy Emmys was honored for outstanding performance by a female actor in a comedy series by the Screen Actors Guild for her portrayal as Vice President Selina Meyer in the HBO political satire.

Other TV winners Saturday were AMC's "Breaking Bad" for outstanding ensemble performance in a drama, and the series' star, Bryan Cranston, for outstanding performance by a male actor.

Maggie Smith, of "Downton Abbey," won for outstanding performance by a female actor in drama.

ABC's "Modern Family" won for outstanding ensemble performance in a comedy, while Ty Burrell took home the SAG Award for outstanding performance by a male actor in comedy.

Helen Mirren and Michael Douglas won for best performances in movies or mini-series. Both were in HBO films, she in Phil Spector" and he in "Behind the Candelabra."

HBO's "Game of Thrones" won for best stunt ensemble.

In film, the big winners were: Matthew McConaughey, outstanding performance by a male actor in a motion picture; Cate Blanchett, outstanding performance by a female actor, and "American Hustle" for outstanding cast in a motion picture.

Jared Leto and Lupita Nyong'o won as best supporting actor and actress in a motion picture, while Rita Morena received a lifetime achievement award from the guild.
