'House of Cards' looking for D.C. political-media types -- in Baltimore area
Big-budget Kevin Spacey series looking for 'Hill staffers, aides, reporters'
I love all the money Baltimore is making off of being the smart and inexpensive alternative to shooting in bureaucracy-bound, incentive-challenged D.C. I love it, love it, love it.
Here's the call from the producers, and, I suppose, if a few real "Hill staffers, aides or reporters" from D.C. sent their CVs, they might be considered.
The "wealthy-looking Washington men and women" might be a problem. But I am guessing we might be able to scrounge up a few of them in Roland Park or Hunt Valley.
I am kidding, of course, D.C. folks will be considered -- and even desired, as some filming will be done in D.C., of course.
But this is great to have these productions here, and I love sticking it to D.C. with "Game Change," "VEEP" and "House of Cards."
Now, here's the real call with the information for those who think they might fit the bill:
Central Casting is looking for extras for House of Cards which will be shooting in Baltimore and DC and the surrounding areas beginning in April of 2012.
Age 20s - early 30s - Hill Staffers, aides, reporters
Age 40s, 50s, 60s – politicians, lobbyist types, reporters
Age 40s, 50s, 60s – Wealthy looking Washington men and women
To be considered, extras need to submit one close up picture and one full length or ¾ length picture dressed appropriately for their type. You must show yourself looking like the type you are submitting for and look as though you can realistically portray that character.
You must include ALL sizes and measurements in the body of the email.
(Height, weight, suit/jacket size, dress size, pant size (waist and inseam for men), shirt (neck and sleeve for men), shoe)
Save both pictures with your first and last name and phone number when emailing.
You must submit both electronic and hard copies of your pictures.
You can email electronic copies to CCsubmissions01@gmail.com AND mail hard copies to 623 Pennsylvania Avenue, S.E., Washington, DC 20003.
The subject line of your Email should say HOC-BG and your union status (AFTRA/SAG/Non-union) and the outside of your Envelope should state the same.
You MUST submit both electronic and hard copies.
All Pictures MUST BE CURRENT.
