when michale robed the store last i was wondering what didi he do did he take all the money and moved away or did he continue to be a stickup boy because he took all the money the big drug dealers had for marlos corners and his stash. It was sad because he was so smart and sexy

EVEN THOUGH IT WAS A FICTIONAL STORY ABOUT THE DRUG TRADE ,POLICE DEPT AND CITY HALL,AND THE SUN, IF YOU'RE FROM BMORE IT ALL PLAYS OUT AS REAL,ITS ASMUCH A REAL BALTIMORE STORY WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE CHARACTERS EVERYDAY LIFE IN THE CITY THAT BLEEDS!

I am almost shedding REAL tears thinking about the way "Dukie" ended up as a drug addict. And the saddest part about it is that it's real, it happens like that every day.

I absolutely understand and agree with the point dz makes. The excellence of previous writing and seasons created the sense of anger and moral righteous outrage I came to love about "the wire" For what it's worth "The Wire" is one of two of the best cop shows I have seen in 47 yrs.

I found the last episode, on par with the preceeding weeks of this seson to be just fine. I think David Zurawik was just crying sour grapes because he did not like the portrail od the Sun's city room

The last episode was fine. It was not the outcome that some viewers wanted to see, but it was real. This is how some circumstances in life turns out. I will truly miss the WIRE.

this series was a flat let down and I guess I was spoiled over the pass seasons I did expect more from this series.

I agree with DZ when he states, "What distinguished The Wire...was its heightened sense of anger and righteous moral outrage. Simon's greatness came from his ability to channel anger into art..." Simon wrote the art but we are its interpreters and his last masterpiece was flawed.

As someone who worked almost 20 years in the juvenile justice system in and around Baltimore,I found the finale to be as true to my old home town as it always was.
