Snoop Dogg's wife cited for DUI

Police say the wife of rapper Snoop Dogg has been arrested in California's Orange County for investigation of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Fullerton police Lt. Craig Brower says officers stopped 32-year-old Shante Broadus of Sherman Oaks about 12:15 a.m. Saturday and took her to jail. She was cited and then released pending a court appearance.

Brower says nobody else was in the car, but he didn't have any other details.

Broadus and Snoop Dogg - whose real name is Calvin Broadus Jr. - were married in 1997 and have three children.

A message left with Snoop Dogg's publicist was not immediately returned.

Resolution reached
Reese Witherspoon has sealed another deal: her divorce from fellow actor Ryan Phillippe.

Documents filed Thursday in Los Angeles show the pair have resolved the remaining issues of their split. Exact details weren't filed, though the pair had indicated they wanted joint custody of their children, ages 8 and 4.

They opted for an uncontested divorce, which kept many of its particulars private.

Witherspoon cited "irreconcilable differences" when she filed for divorce in November 2006 after seven years of marriage.

Publicists for both actors didn't immediately return calls from the Associated Press on Friday.

More from Moore
Take cover, John McCain. You too, Barack Obama. Michael Moore is coming out with a new book.

The tome, titled Mike's Election Guide, a manual of mockery for the 2008 presidential election, will be published Aug. 19 by Grand Central Publishing, a spokesman for the publisher said Friday.

Promotional material for the book reads: "Perfectly timed to coincide with the national political conventions - and to capitalize on massive campaign coverage."

Moore's previous book - 2003's Dude, Where's My Country? - sold more than a million copies.

Voight joins '24'
Is Oscar winner Jon Voight prepared to go head to head with Jack Bauer?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the answer is "Yes."

Voight has signed on to play the nemesis to Kiefer Sutherland's Bauer on the coming season of 24.

The trade paper says Voight's character, the man apparently behind the Season 7 terrorist threat, will be introduced in the two-hour 24 prequel set to premiere this November and currently shooting in South Africa.
