FRIDAY: Mayor Toni Iseman will give her "State of the City"address from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Montage Resort, 30801 S. Coast Hwy. Cost is $45 for Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce members and $65 for non-members. City Manager John Pietig, Police Chief Paul Workman, Fire Chief Kris Head, Marine Safety Chief Kevin Snow and Director Public Works Steve May will also give presentations.

SATURDAY: The Laguna Beach Community Alliance will provide the second annual Info Expo from 9 a.m. to noon in the City Hall parking lot next to the Farmer's Market. Breast Cancer Awareness

The Be-Aware Foundation and Laguna Presbyterian Church invite the community to a free wellness event at 6:30 p.m. at Laguna Presbyterian Church Parlor, 415 Forest Ave. The community is encouraged to celebrate with Laguna Beach church breast cancer survivors and take charge of their breast health by attending this free, informative event. Debby Neville, floral design instructor, will teach attendees from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Fridays. Register by Wednesday for the Mother's Day event. The cost is $45 per class, which includes all materials.

Women's Self-Defense Class

A women's self-defense class is from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays at Lang Park gymnasium, 21540 Wesley Drive. The class is appropriate for mature teens and adults, encourages students to take responsibility for their own safety and gives them the tools by teaching effective easily learned self-defense techniques.
