Since her first race (and win) in 2005 at her "home track" of Pimlico, Rosie Napravnik has amassed more than 1,500 victories, most notably the 2012 Kentucky Oaks. She became the first woman to ride in all three Triple Crown races, in 2013, and her finishes in this year's Kentucky Derby (fifth) and Preakness (third) made history as the best finishes for a female jockey. She finished sixth in the Belmont this year. Her goal remains joining Julie Krone as one of two female jockeys to win a Triple Crown race. "I'm not doing this because I'm a girl," she said before this year's Preakness. "I'm not trying to win the race because I'm a female jockey. I just want to win the race."
