Patterson Park Dog Park

Only in its second year, the Patterson Park Dog Park is the most diverse dog park in the city, according to neighborhood resident Steven Preston. Preston, a landscape architect and member of the Patterson Park Greening Partnership, is a frequent visitor with his 5-year-old Vizsla/pitbull mix, Cooper. On a nice spring or summer day, he says, it's not uncommon to find as many as 50 people from surrounding neighborhoods -- Canton, Butchers Hill, Highlandtown and Fells Prospect -- there, socializing and letting their pooches romp. "Who needs cable when you can dog watch?" he said with a laugh.
