STEVE BURTON, "GH'S" LONGTIME JASON, JOINS "YOUNG AND RESTLESS": Known for more than 20 years as Jason Morgan on "General Hospital," actor Steve Burton is now headed to "Young and Restless." While his character has not yet been revealed, a strong possibility is the newly created role of Dylan McAvoy. The character comes from a working-class background and is a war veteran, currently presumed dead. Dylan is also Avery's ex-husband, so his arrival in Genoa City would certainly complicate Nick and Avery's relationship. Burton's debut will likely be in February.
Billy Miller has agreed to a new contract with "Y&R" as Billy Abbott.
Stephen Nichols' final appearance as Tucker on "Y&R" should be any day now, ending his three years with the series. The question now is if the actor will return to one of his former soaps -- "Days of our Lives," where he portrayed Steve Johnson, or "General Hospital," where he held the part of Stefan Cassadine.
"Pretty Little Liars" executive producer I. Marlene King makes her directorial debut on the episode airing Tuesday, Jan. 22.
ABC has postponed airing the remaining episodes of canceled series "666 Park Avenue" until the summer. The network is instead slotting two comedy shows into the show's Sunday time slot, a somewhat bizarre scheduling choice considering they will follow the dark serials "Once Upon a Time" and "Revenge."
