U.K. super indie All3Media has announced an ambitious plan to expand in the U.S.
Stephen Lambert, the Brit creator of "Wife Swap" and "Undercover Boss," will chair All3Media America, the first strategic play by the shingle's new CEO, Farah Ramzan Golant.
Lambert is founder of All3Media-owned Studio Lambert, whose prexy, Eli Holzman (ex-head of Miramax Television) will serve as prexy of the U.S. operation
All3Media America will be based in Los Angeles and act as a hub to help build a U.S. presence for the other 11 production companies under the All3Media banner.
All3Media has bowed five of its shingles in the U.S. of which Studio Lambert is the most successful.
"Stephen has the biggest relationships in the U.S. and the best track record," said Ramzan Golant. "This will accelerate growth in the U.S."
All3Media wants to build its international business, which accounted for 51% of its £450 million ($725 million) total group revenues last year, as a prelude to selling the business.
An earlier sale failed to find a buyer because of the hefty $1.2 billion price tag.
All3Media America will be represented by ICM and All3Media Intl. will distribute internationally.
Nancy Tellem remains on board as All3Media Group's U.S.-based non-executive director.
