Based on the trailer for “Transformers: Age of Extinction” (opening Friday), director Michael Bay’s latest excuse to destroy the world via enormous CGI toys features more footage in Chicago ... set in exactly the same area of Wacker Drive that already was demolished during 2011’s “Transformers: Dark of the Moon.”
Hey, leave the Wrigley Building and Tribune Tower alone, guys. (Yes, I’m a little biased, based on the location of my office.) There are several other aspects of the city deserving of a Transformers-style smashing.
