The mermaids of Weeki Wachee Springs will be returning to Ripley's Aquarium in Myrtle Beach later this month.
Performers Daniella Demonaco, Shannon Tooker and Ashley Beadleson will swim among sharks and rays four times a day July 23-25. The mermaids went to the South Carolina attraction last year, which was their first venture outside of Florida. Earlier this year, they visited London for their first international appearance.
In Myrtle Beach, the performances will be in Ray Bay, a 15-foot-depp, 85,000-gallon saltwater tank.
The mermaid tradition at Weeki Wachee dates back to October 1947, when its first synchronized underwater ballet debuted.
