Universal Orlando's first episode of "Family Feud" aired Monday, complete with new host. Comedian Steve Harvey now helms the long-running game show, which currently is being taped at a soundstage at Universal Studios theme park.
Both the Studios and sister park Islands of Adventure were showcased during the opening credits and theme song while the voice of one of Orlando's own acted as announcer: "This is Joey Fatone from Universal Orlando Resort in sunny Florida."
"Family Feud" is airing in Central Florida on WRDQ-Channel 27 at noon and at 6 p.m. on weekdays. I'm not clear if Monday's show was the very first one taped here earlier this summer, but shows are likely to be shown in order since the winning family returns to play again in the next episode.
Harvey replaces John O'Hurley, who served as host for four seasons.
"Feud" will be taping this Friday, Saturday and Sunday -- four episodes each day -- at Universal. Theme park guests and folks from outside the park can view the productions. Click here for more details about "Family Feud" tapings at Universal Studios.
