The Brewer’s Art and the Baltimore Rock Opera Society have announced their first beer collaboration.
Known as The Chuggernaut, the beer is a Kölsch-style ale that will be available in cans and on draft in limited release around the city, according to a news release. The beer is a 4.5 percent ABV brew, and features illustrated art designed by local artists John DeCampos and Shannon Hadley, the release said.
Proceeds from sales will be split between the Brewer’s Art and the theater company, the release said. The beer will only be available in six-packs, said the Rock Opera Society marketing director Tyler Merchant in an email. Final pricing will be up to the stores, he said, but they anticipate a six-pack costing between $10-$12, Merchant said.
The Chuggernaut will only be sold at Remington Wine Company, the Wine Source and at the upcoming spring production, “Incredibly Dead!,” according to Merchant. The show opens May 12.
The beer will launch April 7 at the Baltimore Rock Opera Society’s “Swanktacular” fundraising gala at Zion Lutheran Church. Tickets are available here.
