A Ravens game in a Mexican restaurant?
As odd as it sounds, Blue Agave in South Baltimore revs up for Ravens games.
Blue Agave's new owners, who took over in May, wheel out four 55-inch TVs in the dining area, so everybody can watch Terrell Suggs and the rest of the gang do their thing. There are a handful of TVs in the bar as well, so you're not forced to order table service just to watch the game.
Plus, since it's in Federal Hill, you can walk to M&T Bank Stadium for home games (or tailgating).
Drinks Blue Agave specializes in tequilas — currently offering some 140 kinds of the South of the Border liquor. But on game days, they serve buckets of Bud Light (six bottles for $15) and $5 Smirnoff bombs (a shot of vodka dropped into a glass of Red Bull).
Food If you haven't guessed, Mexican food is Blue Agave's forte. During games, they also have $5 chicken wing orders, as well as $5 sliders, guacamole and queso dip. It's great gameday fare.
Atmosphere The decor is colorful and fun, with Mexican wrestling masks hanging on the walls and, fittingly, a portrait of the Most Interesting Man in the World in the bar — where he belongs. Some tabletops sport turquoise tiles, the skull of a bull stares down from one wall, and metal chandeliers hang from the ceiling.
Parking It's Federal Hill, so street parking can be hard to find. One option is the West Street Garage, at 40 E. West St.
