The Black Keys, Deadmau5 and Ghostland Observatory will close out Virgin Mobile FreeFest's three stages on Saturday, organizers announced today.
The festival will open at noon with Brits Eclectic Method on the dance forest; the New York rock band Alberta Cross at 12:15 p.m. on the festival stage; and at 1 p.m., indie band Bombay Bicycle Club will be the first act to go on the main stage. Merriweather's doors will open at 11 a.m.
Grace Potter, Patti Smith, andTV on the Radio will also be performing on the main stage, while Cut Copy, Cee Lo Green, Empire of the Sun and Deadmau5 will play the festival stage. James Murphy, who last year headlined the main stage with LCD Soundsystem, will be the second-to-last act on the dance forest stage.
The majority of tickets this year were again given away to fans, who snatched them up in less than 60 seconds in July.
Like last year, Virgin will also be selling VIP tickets, which the company is calling a FreeFest Premium Ticket package this year.
The ticket includes "admission to the festival, a FreeFest t-shirt and poster, a souvenir cup that comes with discounts on drinks, and early admission to the grounds." Price? $49.50.
These tickets are on sale at ticketfly.com and at Merriweather Post Pavilion's website.
