Tate Kobang releases new single, 'Oh My'

With the release of his new single "Oh My" on Wednesday, Baltimore rapper Tate Kobang could be revealing his strategy: Pick beats that sound like nothing else on the radio.

Produced by Atlanta's Honorable C Note, "Oh My" is Kobang's first official solo release since his "Bank Rolls (Remix)" caught on, first locally and then beyond, last year. Kobang was also recently featured on "I'm Grinding," a song featuring TK N Cash, T-Wayne and Rich the Kid.

Stream "Oh My" above. It's also on Spotify and available for download on iTunes here. (Warning: Song contains explicit language.)

Kobang premiered the single on 92Q on Wednesday night. The song was released to the public on Thursday via Kobang's Twitter, and it hit streaming services today.

Like "Bank Rolls (Remix)," Kobang works quickly, finding a pocket within C Note's minimal beat while showcasing his nimble flow.

Read my recent feature on Kobang here. He was scheduled to perform at Baltimore Soundstage in January as a part of the Young Hustle Tour, but it was canceled due to a snowstorm. Kobang is signed to 300, home to other rising rappers like Young Thug, Fetty Wap and more.
