Did you spend your lunch helplessly staring at the above photo?
You're likely not alone, as free Virgin Mobile FreeFest passes were made available to the public at noon. Judging from the Midnight Sun Twitter feed, it seems like some were having issues with ticketfly.com, which was inundated with music fans at 12 p.m.
And, according to the Virgin Mobile USA Facebook page, the free tickets were all gone as of 12:13 p.m. As always, Virgin is selling "Freemium" tickets for $49.50 to those who missed out. Those passes are available at Ticketfly and the box offices of Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia and 9:30 Club in Washington.
Virgin Mobile FreeFest will take place Sept. 21 at Merriweather Post Pavilion. Vampire Weekend, Pretty Lights, Robin Thicke and more are scheduled to perform.
We want to hear about your experience securing or missing out on tickets. Did you get them and feel like gloating? Have opinions on Virgin's ticketing procedure? Will you pay to attend? Let us know in the comments section below.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
