Adam Levine's most arrogant quotes
Maroon 5 do produce some songs that are catchy (in hell), but we applaud the band more for unleashing lead singer Adam Levine on the world to, um, douchify it year after year. (thanks, NBC /March 22, 2012)
Twenty-year-old twins Kyla and Keegan Cytryn of Allentown, N.J., stood on their tip-toes to catch a glimpse of Adam Levine, the lead singer of Maroon 5, from the grass beside the outdoor stage.
"It's amazing," Kyla Cytryn said. "I wish I could touch him, but this is as close as I can get."
Jonathan Bain, 22, from Oak Grove, La., watched the band from backstage along with the Naval Academy Glee Club. The group has a tent near the stage. They will sing "Maryland, My Maryland" later today.
Bain sang the national anthem solo to kick off Preakness 2012. He said he didn't have a chance to be nervous, because he was busy until he took the stage and from his position he couldn't see much of the crowd.
"I was really honored," Bain said.
He graduates from the academy in 10 days and heads to Florida for flight school.
