The all-instrumental Novo Festival just announced dates for its 2012 and third edition.
The festival, a showcase of voice-less, all-instrumental music, ranging in genre from post rock and jazz to experimental, is scheduled for March 9 and 10 at the Wind-up Space. It began in 2010.
While in the past the festival spread over five days, organized scaled it back to two this year.
"We decided this time around that it would be more exciting to have two long days," said Novo producer Mat Leffler-Schulman in a press release. Schulman is also the co-owner of Mobtown Studios, the festival's co-sponsor.
To cram in the long line-up over two days, Wind-Up will employ two alternating stages.
Organizers said they're looking to add more international and regional instrumental acts. Artists can submit applications to perform, up at the festival's website, by February 1.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
