Columbia's Merriweather Post Pavilion was named the fourth best amphitheater in the country recently by Rolling Stone.

The 15,000-capacity venue beat out the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles and the Nikon at Jones Beach Theatre in New York, among others, for the magazine's "Venues That Rock" feature. It is printed in the July 4 "Summer Double Issue."

"The venue is flexible enough to go big or small with ease," reads the magazine's description. The issue is on stands now.

The Fillmore Silver Spring was recognized by Billboard recently by making the trade magazine's list of "Top 25 Hottest Clubs."

The annual list highlights the "top small venues in America," based on attendance between December 2012 and May 2013. The Fillmore came in at No. 15 with its attendance number of 72,082. Washington's 9:30 Club came in third with 154,497. The issue is on stands now.
