Monument City Brewing is set to open its new taproom in Highlandtown this weekend.
After years of contract-brewing at the Peabody Heights Brewery, Monument City Brewing will host a soft opening for its new Highlandtown facility on Saturday, the company said in an email. The taproom will open from noon to 5 p.m.
Monument, which is known for ales like 51 Rye and Battle IPA, will operate out of a 12,800-square-foot facility at 1 N. Haven St. Founded by brothers Ken and Matt Praay in 2014, Monument announced its move to its own building in July. They originally hoped to open in November.
The new facility will allow the company to produce approximately 3,000 barrels of beer in its first year, Ken Praay told The Baltimore Sun last year.
